5748 - Original set of wooden plaques hand painted by the American artist Austin Allen James. This actual set has been published Worldwide as an open edition print i.e. these are the actual originals used for the publication. Each plaque measures 45cm x 15cm x 8cm and is signed by the artist on the reverse (see photos) along with his logo. Austin Allen James is an artist, designer, poet, college professor, and father of two. He lives and creates in Houston, Texas. His art captures energy and colour in harmonious compositions. AAJ creates one-of-a-kind pieces of art furniture for the home and interiors. Austin Allen was born in Putnam, Connecticut. He lived the first six years of his life in Vermont before moving to Texas in 1973. Austin has lived most of his life since 1973 in Houston, TX. AAJ works in crushed pigments, oils, acrylic, resins and mixed media. The art is ethereal and organic by nature. He values colour, movement and lyricism in his art.
