7805 - Rare limited edition by Vincent Van Gogh titled "Self Portrait, 1889 - With Paint Palette" One of only 85 published Worldwide. This art will be supplied with a certificate of authentication which has been approved and signed by the "Master Printer" Accompanied with a replacement valuation certificate for £1800 (free of charge) Professionally framed in an expensive bespoke frame and mount. Excellent condition. Each print in this edition was hand sorted and fully inspected by the Master Printer. This very high quality edition was published on acid-free calcium carbonate-buffered stock paper, mould-made from 100% cotton and printed with light fast inks. With golden hair and piercing green eyes, this self-portrait shows Van Gogh at 36 years old. The composition of the portrait is how he saw himself in the mirror, a flipped version of how he would appear to others. The background is reminiscent of his famous Starry Night, with swirling tones of blue. For Van Gogh, painting self-portraits was a method of reflection and introspection.
