7496 - Limited edition by Sylvette (Lydia Corbett) titled "Sylvette and the Ballet Shoes" This is number One from an edition of only 250 worldwide and will be supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. She was a model for Picasso and in 1993 the Tate Gallery staged a major exhibition of Picasso's sculpture and paintings. A documentary film on Lydia, and her friend and mentor, was shown on BBC2 at the same time. . The Image - With this vase, that I made, I set up a still life and filled the pot with Cosmos flowers which I love. They are so gay. The tablecloth is here, as it is in many of my paintings, this one chequered and all bunched up which makes lovely patterns. The people are floating around the cosmos, the Universe in love. .
