'The Green Turban' was painted in 1929 at the height of the artist's success and demonstrates her unique Art Deco style. This particular piece reflects the artist's love of glamour, with the women in the painting appearing both stylish and elegant. Unusually, it displays two figures as opposed to one which was Lempicka's normal preference. The painting was created in Paris which inspired the artist's creativity and in this image she uses Synthetic Cubism with clear luminous colours to enable the viewer to feel the elegance of the models who were at that time, modern-day women.
